Accessibility Project Coordinator

The Accessibility Project Coordinator possesses, at minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree and two years experience providing direct services to survivors of domestic violence or a high school/equivalency diploma and three years experience providing direct services to survivors. The Coordinator will also have an understanding of the empowerment-based philosophy and experience in program coordination. 

The Coordinator will provide training, technical assistance and consultation to domestic violence center staff and will collaborate with statewide and local agencies to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other related statutes, rules, and regulations. As an expert in domestic violence, the Coordinator will serve as a resource for FCADV regional committees, appropriate caucuses and as a collaborator on projects and events related to survivors who are living with a disability and/or who are later in life. The Coordinator will possess advanced communication skills, written and oral, and be capable of addressing small and large groups of individuals. The Coordinator possesses skills that allow for working independently and as a team member. Computer literacy is a requirement. This position requires extensive in-state travel and limited national travel.
