The Director of Advocacy and Social Change Initiatives possesses at a minimum a Bachelor’s Degree, two years of management/supervision experience, and three years experience in the domestic violence movement; or a high school/equivalency diploma, four years management/supervision experience, and three years of experience working with survivors of domestic violence. Candidate must approach the work from a trauma-informed, empowerment-based perspective.
The candidate will have knowledge and have experience educating individuals on the root causes of violence against women and oppressed groups. Candidate will also have a proven history of conducting comprehensive training and technical assistance related to successful advocacy on behalf of survivors of violence. Knowledge of primary prevention is necessary. Candidate must have program and project management experience; excellent writing and grant management skills; and, a successful history of supervising multiple staff.
