The annual Economic Justice Institute brings together advocates from around the state to examine how we engage in economic empowerment at certified domestic violence centers and how to integrate it into daily advocacy work with survivors. This two day conference will provide an opportunity to learn from national speakers, share with Florida's dynamic economic empowerment advocates and expand your toolkit to assist survivors in gaining financial stability.
Topics to be addressed at the event include:
-Housing rights for undocumented survivors
-Deferred action as a tool for undocumented survivors to achieve financial goals
-Economic exploitation later in life
-Train-the-trainer on the *new* Allstate Foundation Career Empowerment Curriculum
-Technology and safety will engaging on job searches, including information about the new stalking legislation
