Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, FCADV, works towards ending domestic violence through public awareness, policy development, creation of standards, provision of funding, and support for Florida's domestic violence centers. Serving Florida's 42 domestic violence centers, FCADV operates Florida's toll-free domestic violence hotline
(1-800-500-1119), maintains a resource library, and develops posters, brochures, safety plans, and other resources.

FCADV 2009 Statewide Annual Training Institute

CALL FOR WORKSHOPS
We invite you to submit workshop proposals for the FCADV 2009 Statewide Annual Training Institute for the theme of Embracing Diversity: Bridging the Cultural Divide. Complete submission instructions can be found in the document below. The deadline for submissions will be November 1, 2008 and completed proposals should be sent to callforpapers@fcadv.org. Rural Resource Center for Social Justice - Southeast Regional Training Institute

October 28 (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm) and October 29 (9:00 am - 3:00 pm), 2008
The Hotel Highland at Five Points South - Birmingham, Alabama

FCADV's Rural Resource Center For Social Justice is a technical assistance project that serves the Southeast regional grant recipients of STOP Violence Against Women Formula grant recipients from the following geographical areas: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. This regional training will provide workshops on Creating and Managing Financially Sustainable Programs, Providing Services to the Migrant Farmworker Community and Providing Services to Traditionally Marginalized and Underserved Populations. FCADV's Rural Caucus will also report to the region on current projects.
