This two day training institute will offer workshops to cover a wide range of topics to enhance participants knowledge, service provision and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence/ sexual violence in rural communities. Direct service advocates, law enforcement, legal professionals, health care providers, allied agencies, child protection, social service professionals, students and other individuals who work or volunteer in the domestic violence arena throughout Florida will come together to learn the emerging trends and developments in assisting rural domestic/sexual violence survivors and their children. A host of distinguished experts will lead informative and skill-building workshops on topics such as: Domestic Violence and Stalking, Domestic Violence Technology, Establising and Sustaining Domestic Violence Task Forces, Human Trafficking, Teen Dating Violence, Injunctions for Protection, Domestic Violence and Animal Abuse, Domestic Violence and Parenting Orders, Domestic Violence Later in Life, Victims Compensation and Relocation, and other great workshops to be determined!
